wecr8 is a suite of programmes for young people focused on one thing: to help them develop the innovation mindsets they need to solve their own challenges as well as contribute to the co-creation of a radically better future for their friends, families and communities.
It works at various different levels of scale;
The Gathering: a bi-monthly networking event to create a space for ideas sharing between digital youth and the people and organisations tasked with providing them better digital services
The Boot Camp: an ethical entrepreneurship boot camp for young people - to help them tap into their ideas to solve the social, environmental and cultural problems around them
The Studio: a virtual innovation consultancy run by young people, to work on socially-inspired youth innovation projects. Many of them will be NEET, we will train c.20 a year to think like innovators. We will make the very latest innovation techniques simple enough for them to use, aiming to share the tools with other pods over time. The group will refresh each year to allow another cohort in. We aim for this to become a leading academy for innovation.
The Platform: A web-enabled social media platform that opens up the best innovation tools to all the young people in the nation, so they can harness them to co-create a better world for themselves and their communities
