Facebook keeps us honest

They say our friends keep us honest. Now it seems that our Facebook profile is an accurate source of information about a prospective collaborator, employee or partner.

As Catalina Toma, a psychologist at the Social Media Lab at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York says: “It doesn’t make sense to lie in those profiles, because the social network acts as a constraint on deception,” she says.
